When Joe Black founded Western Golf Properties in 1985, he envisioned a golf course management company unlike any other at the time. "My dream," he said, "was not to own and manage golf courses, but to develop courses for a select number of owners... and then manage them in a way far superior to whatever had been done before." From this vision, a successful business founded in the tradition, heritage and passion of the game and its practices was born.
